Check the product sizing information on your jacket, and also charts below. Inside all of our life jackets, you will find information printed with the size and donning instructions. Our jackets are sized by weight and chest size. All the testing of our life jackets, is also carried out with people correctly sized to the jackets, as per Australian Standards.

Make sure your life jacket is a nice comfortable fit. It should be a snug fit like a coat, tight, but not too tight to restrict breathing at all. Make sure you can do up the zips and buckles easily. Try wearing your jacket in the water, and ensure it supports you. A jacket that is too small for you, will be uncomfortable to wear. Furthermore a life jacket that is too small, will stress the zips, stitching or buckles, and could result in failure of these items.

For children there should be no more than two fingers width of gap on the shoulders. When fitted, try supervising your child in the water for a test, and make sure they will not slip out of the life jacket. You can also try lifting them from the jacket on land, to simulate floating ion the water. resist buying a jacket they will grow into.
